Are you interested in becoming a teaching artist to supplement your work in the industry? Already working in the Arts Education field, but would like to explore new opportunities?

An outstanding group of Arts Education professionals will be sharing the details of their specific programs and will be on hand to answer your questions.

  • Learn what’s happening in Arts Education throughout Los Angeles.

  • Discover effective ways to navigate the employment landscape as a teaching artist.

  • Network with other professionals who are exploring or already pursuing this career path.

And find out how to join our Five-Day Teaching Artist Intensive that begins in September! The Teaching Artist Intensive is designed for people who want to develop parallel careers as teaching artists in schools or afterschool programs. All Symposium attendees will learn about the application process for this program.


Catered lunch will be provided.

Public transportation, ride share and street parking encouraged.

Parking: Parking is located at the Music Center’s main campus, at 135 North Grand Avenue. Upon entering the garage, take a ticket from the machine. You will pay on your way out. Parking will be $9.

Directions from the Parking Lot: Once parked, take the parking elevator to “G” (Street Level). Exit the elevator and immediately TURN RIGHT and enter the double doors to your right hand side. Take the golden elevator to the 5th Floor. Exit left out of the elevator and proceed to Salon A.

Directions from Street: Go to the Music Center Banquet Hall Elevatorsthrough the glass doorson Grand Avenue, directly next to Kendall’s Brasserie, then take the golden elevator to the 5th Floor. Exit left out of the elevator and proceed to Salon A.
